Development Assistant Internship:
Research potential donors, governmental and non-governmental funding sources, theatre and arts-related private foundations; research annual federal and state tax filings and reports through use of Foundation Center Resource Center. Work closely with Artistic Director to draft query letters, prepare and assemble formal requests for grant and funding support and track all submissions and replies; update and maintain computer research database of fundraising sources and institutional and private donor support, response letters, follow-up requests, and in-office files of individual records.
Skills needed: MS Word, Excel (a must), Adobe Acrobat, internet search engines; up-to-date working knowledge of Social Networking sites, IMDB-Pro, IBDB on-line databases; proficiency with Photoshop and/or Canva graphics applications, PowerPoint helpful.
