Job Title: Summer Camp Counselor
Overview:
Join our team at ArtsConnect as a Summer Camp Counselor and make a lasting impact on children ages 7-13! Counselors will work closely with the Camp Director to deliver an engaging and creative art camp experience. This role is perfect for artistic, energetic, enthusiastic individuals who enjoys motivating kids, leading activities, and fostering a fun, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Camp Director to implement daily curriculum and prepare necessary supplies.
- Support campers in art activities and teaching, tailored to specific age groups.
- Plan and lead games, songs, and activities that complement the weekly themes.
- Supervise snack and break times, ensuring safety and inclusivity.
- Attend planning meeting and training sessions to enhance camp programming prior to the start of camp.
Qualifications:
- A background in drawing, painting, sewing and/or pottery a plus but not required.
- Passion for working with children and creating a positive camp experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm to lead games, songs, and discussions.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Prior experience working with children or in a camp setting is a plus but not required.
