About the Role
At Filamatic, we design and build custom industrial filling and packaging machinery for industries that include pharmaceuticals, biotech, diagnostics, and cannabis. As an Electromechanical Technician, you’ll be at the heart of this process—bringing machinery to life by assembling and testing systems that range from compact tabletop units to fully automated high-speed production lines. You’ll collaborate with experienced teammates, interpret detailed mechanical and electrical diagrams, and take pride in seeing your work in action during customer acceptance testing. Each machine is customized/configured for a particular customer to meet their unique requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble custom machinery using hand tools, precision instruments, and detailed blueprints
- Wire, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components to meet customer specs
- Set up and test equipment with actual customer products
- Prepare machinery for shipping and support final system checks
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree or Technical Trade certification in engineering or mechatronics.
- Knowledge of complex electromechanical systems or capital equipment
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, including basic PLCs and pneumatics
- Comfort reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Proficiency using hand, power, and air tools and precision measuring instruments
- Working knowledge of servo motor control is a plus
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience with CNC or manual machining.
Physical & Work Environment
- Able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working near moving machinery, electrical components, and occasional fumes or vibration
- Use of hand tools, voltmeters, testing equipment, and computers required
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $23 – $28 per hour
Benefits: Excellent benefits package that allows you to accrue 3 weeks of annual vacation, 10 paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave, Medical (3 different plan options), Dental, Vision, among some of our benefit offerings. Eligibility for insurance and 401K is the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
