The Office of Career Development offers on-campus career fairs targeting many different majors.
Registration for our career fairs is completed via Handshake and opens up on July 15th, 2025 for the Fall semester.

September 3rd – 3:00 – 5:30 PM – Volstorff Ballroom
- Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering Career Fair
September 17th & 18th – 12:00 – 4:00 PM – Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium
- College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Career Fair
October 1st & 2nd – 12:00 – 4:00 PM – Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium
- Management, Economics & Communication Career Fair
October 16th – 12:00 – 4:00 PM – Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium
- College of Psychology, Sociology and Criminal Justice Career Fair
November 5th – 1:00 – 4:00 PM – Volstorff Ballroom
The Office of Career Development has two private interview rooms available for employers to reserve at no cost. Office of Career Development staff will help in creating the schedule and getting the word out to students who may be a good fit.
- Interview rooms are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
- You MUST receive email confirmation from an Office of Career Development staff member, or your room is NOT reserved.

- Confirm your corporate email address and password and you will be prompted to either
- Search for your company and request to join their account – you will need to contact the owner of the company profile to have your request approved – the Office of Career Development cannot approve your request, or
- Create a new company profile if your organization is not yet connected on Handshake
- Once approved, request to connect with South Dakota State University.

- Fill out the form, completing all four sections: Basics, Details, Preferences, and Schools
- Preview your Job Posting and Save
- Your request will be in Pending status until approved by the Office of Career Development. Please allow up to two business days for approval
