Hi, I’m Ashley Bingham, a Dealer Account Manager at Albert Lea Seed. I’ve been with ALS for nearly six years, and my role has evolved quite a bit during that time. I started as a marketing intern, moved into a full-time Sales & Marketing Coordinator position, and now work directly with dealers in my region as a Dealer Account Manager.
Albert Lea Seed is a family-owned company that was founded in 1923. We serve farmers across much of the United States by providing both conventional and organic seed for their operations. From corn and soybeans to lawn seed, we likely have what they need! In my role, I work closely with dealers to assist with seed orders, account payments, inventory availability, and marketing support.
I graduated from South Dakota State University in May 2020 with a degree in Agronomy and a minor in Ag Business. While I didn’t land my current role through a career fair, I did secure two internships through the SDSU CAFES Career Fair during my freshman and sophomore years. Those experiences played a key role in building my resume and preparing me for my career today.
My advice for SDSU students is to get involved both on and off campus. There are countless opportunities that fit any level of commitment, and they can lead to meaningful connections and experiences. Take time to enjoy your years at SDSU, soak in everything South Dakota has to offer, and when you move on, don’t forget to take a piece of SDSU with you!
