On October 1st and 2nd, 2024 we hosted the annual CAFES Career Fair in Club71 on the South Dakota State University campus. It was a successful event. We had a total student attendance of 952 total check-ins with 140 students attending both days, and a total of 192 employers attending the fair.
As part of the fair we like to highlight recruiters in attendance who are SD State Alumni. As you can see below, Jack Rabbits age well!
Employers provided positive feedback regarding the interview spaces, student preparation, and the fair itself as being time well spent. Some employers would prefer we hold the career fair in one day instead of two, which I understand. Two days is a big commitment. However, holding the fair for two days, allows for many more employers the chance to recruit our students. We will continue to collaborate with CAFES to make sure we are serving employers and students in the best way possible.
